Speaking exclusively to ET Daruwala said that she turns sixty years of age in February and will retire after completing her current term as CEO which is ending in March next year.
"I have been in discussions with the bank for the last two months and have decided to retire as I turn 60 in February.
My RBI approved term ends in March. The search for my successor has already started," she said on phone.
Daruwala has had a banking career spanning more than 35 years, joined Standard Chartered as CEO in after a 26 year stint at ICICI Bankwhere she ultimately took over as the bank’s wholesale banking vertical.
